Hi there!
I would like to know how I can set the value of a field in a form on an ASP page to the highest number currently residing in the database + 1.
In example: my database contains a recordset with 2000 records, last one is numbered 2000 in the ID field with a property of "number".
I want the ID field on the ASP page to automatically be assigned the number 2001 the next time it is loaded, 2002 the following time, ... for adding new items and automatically assign them an ID without going through AutoNumber in the DB.
Any ideas?
