You didn't post enough of the code for me to figure out why you're getting that ODBC error.
Perhaps there is something wrong with the way you are trying to establish the connection.
However, I see one obvious problem with your Select Case: You are using Ucase, which will return the UpperCase
value of a string, but then you go on to see if the case is "example", when you need to look for "EXAMPLE"
