Perhaps use a querystring such as this:
<a href="http://www.mysite.com/mypage?id=<%= Server.URLEncode(objRS("MyIDFldFromDB")) %>">objRS("MyIDFldFromDB")</a>
And in the page that is opened you can use Request.QueryString("id") to get the value of id.
