I recently had the same problem. The .asp pages were not being processed and even the IIS 5.0 online support pages (on my localhost), could not be displayed. Yet, all the HTML pages were fine.
I reinstalled IIS 5.0, and the .asp pages, and IIS 5.0 online help pages, work correctly now.
